"Key Concepts for 12 Year Olds"

Description:  Group brainstorming of what concepts in nanotech/biotech/cogtech/infotech should be taught in schools.  I will incorporate your ideas into my curriculum for teaching precocious high school students at UC Santa Cruz every summer.  Though I focus on nanotechnology with these students (most are academically at the top of their school) I have a free hand to incorporate whatever I think important.  How might you use these key concepts?
