What is Convergence08?

Still at an early stage, Convergence08 is a planned two day unconference to be held in Silicon Valley on November 15th and 16th at the Computer History Museum. The theme is currently open, but will likley focus on Bringing Big Ideas to Life through Emerging Technologies, such as NBIC:

Who's involved?

The following are supporting the event, thus far:

Want to get involved?

We're looking for friendly and talented collaborators. If interested, email James, Bruce, or Shannon.

Speaking at Convergence08

The format of this event is an UnConference.  If you are not familiar with the way in which UnConferences are run, please check this link.

Currently, we are not formally signing up any speakers for the sessions, which will be spontaneously organized on the day of the event, as standard for UnConferences.

We will have four different plenary sessions, and we're open for suggestions as to whom to invite to speak (these are suggestions only):

  1. Panel Discussion on Life-Extension (possibly Chris Heward, Aubrey de Grey, Michael West, Dr. Terry Grossman)
  2. ____________
  3. ____________
  4. ____________
